Quickshot Dream Incubation Experiments

So far, I have made 10 Quickshot Dream Incubation Experiments videos for my Youtube channel, Tallulah La Ghash - you can access my introductory post by clicking on Quickshot Dream Incubations |  QDI#1. I am using this post to link all of my current Quickshot Dream Incubation Experiment videos to date, which you can find by scrolling down this page.

The concept behind this dream incubation challenge is that I regularly choose a thing - a location/place, object or person and then film a short video, uploaded onto my Youtube channel (see below where I have embedded the video for your ease of watching!) I give myself just 24 hours to see if my chosen/recorded 'thing' appears in my dreams. I then record my results, both on this Blog, and on my next Quickshot Dream Incubation Experiment video. 

Perhaps you might like to try this challenge yourself - watch my videos and see if you can incubate a dream using the thing you see! Don't worry if you are not following along with this challenge contemporaneous to the date I have uploaded these videos - even if you watch them at some point in the future, I'd be fascinated to know if any of my 'dream triggers' happen to influence your dream content after watching a Quickshot Dream Incubation Experiment video. The Dreamhacker Series

I have relaunched The Dreamhacker Series - a beginner level, back to basics, foundational series of tutorials which aim to teach you all aspects of dreamwork, including dream recall, dream incubation, lucid dream induction, dream control and much much more! Quickshot Dream Incubations | QDI#1

I am starting a new series of very quick 24-hour dream incubation experiments. The concept is that I regularly choose a thing - a location/place, object or person and then film a short video, uploaded onto my Youtube channel (see below where I have embedded the video for your ease of watching!) I give myself just 24 hours to see if my chosen/recorded 'thing' appears in my dreams. I then record my results, both on this Blog, and on my next Quickshot Dream Incubation Experiment video.

Love on Lockdown Series | A Very Candid Insight into Tallulah La Ghash

I'm writing this post to let you know about a new series I am running on my Youtube channel, Tallulah La Ghash. I have provisionally entitled it Love on Lockdown. It documents my relationship with AJR - mainly in the form of retrospective Storytimes, in chronological or thematic order. Obviously, my relationship and various changes in my life influence my dreams and self astronomically, so it makes sense to share more, and offer more candid insight into myself as a person, and my private life. I try to balance being genuine and open with guarding certain 'sensitive' or confidential information, but due to me simultaneously uploading quite explicit videos on my Youtube channel, I felt it was only appropriate to take the same approach to my Blog, as both platforms are of equal importance to me. In fact, if I was given the ultimatum of only being able to continue with one of them, I would choose this Blog, as I feel this has been my most cherished pastime, regardless of how successful it is. 

Given the extraordinary, phenomenal circumstances of my relationship with AJR, which changed my life in a plethora of ways, I felt it might be a story my audience (on whatever platform), might be interested to engage with. In any event, I wanted to create a memento to my relationship, regardless of whether anyone else enjoys the narrative and the ongoing adventure-slash-journey. I suppose I could have written a private journal, or kept the videos I record private, but I really do think some people may be interested in hearing our story and joining it as new chapters unfold. And since I already had my subconscious (and often conscious) thoughts, feelings, emotions, moods etcs documented here, on the internet, it seemed logical to use this Blog as another way of sharing. I really hope you approach our story with an open heart and mind and try not to be critical or judgemental until you have heard all facts. Remember, you can always ask me anything at all, if you have any questions whatsoever - I am more than happy to answer them, perhaps in a dedicated Youtube video on my channel, posted here as well, for my readers.

STORYTIME: I DREAMED OF THE FUTURE LOVE OF MY LIFE, MANY YEARS AGO (EVIDENCE PROVIDED!) - a Blog post explaining a potentially precognitive dream I had about AJR during a period of 11 years where we had no contact. Also explains how I tried to use 'The Force' to communicate with AJR during a mini 'breakup'.

Lucid Dream Phenomena: Telepathic Boyfriend? - a Blog post detailing a weird (paranormal?) incident in which I was asking AJR some questions based on one of my Youtube subscriber's comments, revealing an inexplicable (psychic?) incident occurring!

Dream 998 - 'My Dream Town Becomes Victorian' (20 June 2019) - a Blog post recording a recent dream, which featured my 'Dream Town' - I link it here, because I refer to 'Sudsbury' or Sudbury, the supposed name of my 'Dream Town', which just so happens to be  nearest town (Sudbury) to where AJR will live with his family - this recurrent 'Sudsbury/Sudbury' reference was always a mystery which perplexed me, so it is interesting to find out AJR will be living in an area with the same name. This Dream Record links all posts relevant to the phenomena of my Dream Town and every time it has appeared in my dreams since I've been writing this Blog, so it is worth checking out, as I will do a full analysis of all of those dreams in due course.

tallulah talks 10 | confessionals

I've started a new series of videos on my Youtube channel - tallulah talks 10. The premise of this series is that I film for exactly 10 minutes, and talk stream of consciousness-style about whatever is on my mind at that specific moment, revealing my current state of mind and contemporary thoughts, feelings, emotions and moods. The video is ended at the 10 minute mark, regardless of whether I am in mid-stream or have finished all I have to say. The concept is a sort of 'talking therapy' as well as a chance to share insights into my personal and private life. I film these videos on my mobile phone, meaning I can record in a plethora of outdoor environments.

The Proust Questionnaire - Version 2.0

Recently, I made a Youtube video where I took the Proust Questionnaire on camera. At the time of recording the video, I couldn't remember if I had ever recorded/published myself taking the Proust Questionnaire before, so obviously was unable to consciously recall any answers I might have had for any of the questions.

Looking back across this blog, I discovered that I had answered the Proust Questionnaire on 21 January 2016 - my original answers to the Proust Questionnaire, can be found, by clicking here, which will take you to my previous blog post. On that occasion, it appears that despite linking the Wikipedia entry in that post, I decided to take the basic version which appears in Vanity Fair. I have no explanation for why I chose to answer that particular version of the questionnaire. Below, I have linked my new Youtube video with the 2019 answers to the Proust Questionnaire. 

Comparing answers

Obviously, I have to take into account the fact that I have two different sets of questions here, which means my answers will vary in that context. 

In general, I think that my answers are pretty similar - in many cases, they are identical, or, when giving longer spontaneous answers in my video, I touch upon my previous answers as possibilities. 

What I am able to see is the impact my relationship with JR has had on my outlook on life - this is the factor which seems to have changed my answers from 2016 to 2019.

Dream Incubation Experiment - A Star Wars Adventure - 30-Day Update

I am very pleased to let you know that I have experienced some further (limited) success with my current Dream Incubation Experiment - A Star Wars Adventure. On Days 2 and 21, I had partially successful dream incubation experiences - and the same has taken place on Day 27.

I am quite disappointed with this Dream Incubation Experiment, as although I had 3 dreams which related to Star Wars, all of the references/connections were vague and none could properly be described as a Star Wars themed adventure. I would therefore count this Dream Incubation Experiment as a failure.

Lucid Dream Phenomena: Telepathic Boyfriend?

Recently, I experienced a weird, inexplicable lucid dream-related phenomenon. One of my Youtube subscribers/viewers asked a question about my boyfriend AJR and his ability to lucid dream. I asked AJR about lucid dreaming during a telephone call and the resultant conversation led to this phenomenal lucid dream-related experience. AJR and I are both sceptics/cynics who do not believe in ESP, telepathy of psychic experiences - nothing paranormal or supernatural. However, this experience made me reevaluate whether my boyfriend and I have a telepathic/psychic connection. Dream Incubation Experiment - A Star Wars Adventure

To celebrate the relaunch of my Youtube channel (and this Blog), I am conducting a new Dream Incubation Experiment which I will document on both platforms for my viewers/readers. I hope you will follow along with me and try it for yourselves!

Quite simply, dream incubation is the concept of prospectively choosing what you want to dream about and then training your mind to make your chosen dream happen. It is often referred to as 'planting the seed' of a dream in your mind.

In the spirit of updating and streamlining my content, and to make my tutorials/experiments easier to follow, I am simplifying my Dream Incubation Technique. I have been practicing dream incubation since my early childhood, when I first became interested in dreamwork. I was always fascinated and excited by the idea of choosing the theme or subject matter of my dreams. 

In previous Dream Incubation Experiments, I attempted to combine dream incubation and lucid dreaming. I think this unnecessarily complicated what should be a relatively easy aspect of dreamwork. For this reason, my new Dream Incubation Experiment will focus solely on the objective of incubating a chosen dream theme successfully. If lucidity occurs during my Dream Incubation Experiment, this is an added bonus! 

My chosen Dream Incubation Theme is - A Star Wars Adventure.

I will purely concentrate on incubating a Star Wars dream - I am not going to be prescriptive or specific here. The first day of this Dream Incubation Experiment is today - Monday 6 May 2019.

Methodology:

• Every night, before sleep, I will use a mantra - 'I will have a Star Wars dream and remember it when I wake up'. I will recite this repeatedly in my mind as I am laying in bed, falling asleep. This will focus my intention on dreaming about Star Wars.
• I will periodically and regularly think about Star Wars throughout the waking day and try and expose myself to as much Star Wars-related content as possible - this is relatively easy for me as I follow a lot of Star Wars-related media online.
• I will use two cues/prompts - a written reminder (which will be read each night before sleep and will be kept under my pillow) and a small, metal replica of the Death Star (which will be kept in  visible spot beside my bed) - see below for an image of my Dream Incubation Experiment cues/prompts.
• Every day upon waking I will reflect on my dream memories and then record/interpret and analyse each dream, both on this Blog and in regular Youtube video uploads.

LSD: Dream Emulator

I have recently become aware of a very odd video game called LSD: Dream Emulator. This is a 'surrealist' exploration game which was made for the Sony PlayStation by Asmik Ace Entertainment in October 1998. 

The game is based on the decade-long Dream Journal of Hiroko Nishikawa, an artist at the development company. It is 1 of 3 projects released which were themed around the Dream Journal, the others being a music album, LSD and Remixes and the Dream Journal itself, Lovely Sweet Dream. The game has garnered somewhat of a cult following, due to it's eccentric nature, and has spawned a number of urban legends and Creepypasta horror stories. From 2009 onwards, there have been many popular 'Let's Play' videos on YouTube dedicated to this game. 

Many people have assumed that the game is based on the psychedelic effects of LSD, the drug, but the game has no explicit reference to this connection, and instead uses acronyms such as 'In Life, the Sensuous Dream' and 'In Limbo, the Silent Dream'.

The game is in first-person mode, and the player is able to navigate a series of environments, with normal ability to reverse or turn, look up or run. The environment is a 'dreamworld' and the main objective is to explore. If the player bumps into anything or any object in the environment, they are transported to a new environment, through a process called 'linking'. Bumping into other characters, animals or special objects typically result in transportation to more surreal environments. 

Similar to the real life dream experience, a dream can last up to approximately 10 minutes, after which the player will wake up, If the player falls off a cliff or down a hole, they will wake up immediately. When the player wakes up, the dreamworld fades, returning them to the main menu, which gives an info-graph which records their progress. The chart also displays the players state of mind, with options of 'upper', 'downer', 'static' and 'dynamic'. These options relate to the player's experience of the prior dreamworld environment and its general feel. Previous dreams may influence subsequent dream environments. 

A dreamworld may suddenly change while the player is walking around - for example, eyes may appear in the wall, which stare at the player. Even when the player revisits the same place again, the environment may have changed - for example, the player may encounter new objects.

Various creatures roam around the dreamworlds. These include a celestial flying nymph; a wild prairie horse; a huge man who fills an entire room; a pterodactyl; and faces on legs. 

The player may occasionally encounter 'The Grey Man' (also known as 'The Shadow Man'), a character in a grey trenchcoat and hat, who glides in one direction. It is possible to walk around him, but if you get too close, the screen will flash, and the player will lose the ability to recall the dream in a 'Flashback'. Another character is the 'Abyss Demon', which lures the player to a wonderful sight, which is just out of reach, and then appears from a cliff-face, forcing you to a new dreamworld. In the house dreamworld, there is a huge man between 2 walls, or on the second floor, who headbutts the player, gain transporting them to a new dreamworld.

The gameplay is measured in days. After roughly 15 - 30 days of gameplay, the player will see an option on the main menu entitled 'Flashbacks'. These Flashbacks last 2 - 4 minutes, and allow the player to re-experience previously encountered dream characters, and access previous dreamscapes - like dream memories. Often the only way to see a dreamworld looking exactly the same, twice or more in the game, is by recalling it using 'Flashbacks'. If the player takes the same steps in the Flashback as he did in the original version of that dream, the dream will repeat. There are over 500 patterns of music in the game, some of which appear on an officially released soundtrack. 

The game is incredibly popular due to it's eccentric nature, and has gained cult fame, leading to a huge number of 'Let's Play' videos on Youtube since 2009. The game has also been the subject of a number of Creepypasta horror fiction stories. 

I wanted to review this game for my Blog, but unfortunately, my Playstation emulator wouldn't allow this to happen. I will try and find a console version of the game. I have found some Youtube 'Let's Play' videos which show you some gameplay with commentary, pending me being able to do my own!

Eminem Dream Incubation Update 4 - Weird Dreams of Kidnapped Strippers

WEIRD & CREEPY DREAM/REALITY COINCIDENCES!

So, if you have been following my Blog or my Youtube, you will probably be aware that I have experienced a number of strange dream/day residue (i.e. waking reality) events recently, since starting my current Dream Incubation Experiment!

Rather than describing everything in detail in this post, which would involve repeating a substantial amount of material already posted on this Blog and contained in my Youtube videos, I will summarise here and provide links to the relevant posts.

So, in Dream 668 (THE MARINA JOYCE DREAM) - 'Whatever Happened to Marina Joyce?', you will see that I had a dream which combined my Eminem Dream Incubation Experiment with the recent strange events surrounding Youtuber, Marina Joyce. This was after I referred to Marina Joyce in my Youtube video, Eminem Dream Incubation Update 2 (see below). In this dream, (Dream 668), there was also a man in a bear costume (or a large animated teddy bear) called 'Giant Wilfred' - which I interpreted as being the result of day residue - I had been listening to Creepypastas on Youtube prior to going to sleep and one of the thumbnails for a related video on the same channel was for '1999 - which is a short horror fiction about a public access TV channel, Caledon Local 21 run by 'Mr Bear; - a paedophile/child murderer who dresses in a bear costume to make children's TV shows with the aim of luring victims to his 'cellar'. The Creepypasta is written in the form of a series of blog posts by the author - who reminisces about discovering Caledon Local 21 as a child (in 1999) and then his subsequent adult investigation into events surrounding the channel and Mr Bear. On the Blog post (Dream Journal entry) relating to Dream 668, I included a number of screenshots/images relating to the '1999' Creepypasta (images from the actual text version, uploaded by the author, and also screenshots from the Youtube video).

I had been interested in the Marina Joyce story because (before I was even aware of who she was or events surrounding her channel) I had started writing my own horror fiction - about hidden messages and mystery surrounding a teenage Beauty vlogger from London and the effects her videos have on the main character, another teenage girl, who is a fan of makeup videos on Youtube and noticed bizarre and terrifying coincidences between her life and the life of her favourite Youtuber. This story forms part of a trilogy of short horror stories, the third one being based on webcamming and featuring a camgirl named 'Montana Joy' (note the similarity between the name 'Marina Joyce' and 'Montana Joy'). Even my best friend, DL mentioned that when he heard about the Marina Joyce story, he noticed the similarity or at least coincidence between those real life events and the topic of my fiction writing!

I discussed Dream 668 in a further Youtube video, uploaded today - Eminem Dream Incubation Update 3 - Weird Marina Joyce Dream (see below). During this video, I talked about the content of my dream, discussed Marina Joyce and also talked about '1999' and how it influenced me to dream about 'Giant Wilfred'. During this video I mad reference to how much I love Grav3yardgirl (Bunny Meyer). I uploaded all the new content onto my social media and then started listening to some more Creepypastas, ostensibly to get inspired to write my own horror fiction. After a while, I got a little scared, because I am home alone right now. I decided to see if Bunny had uploaded a new video, because I find that listening to her is a great way to distract myself. 

This is where things get really creepy and coincidental. The thumbnail for Bunny's latest video - uploaded that day was her posing with a huge teddy bear! I have pulled a screenshot, which I have posted below! She does not explain the presence of the teddy bear in her video, and while my rational, sensible brain tells me it is simply an innocent and strange coincidence, it certainly played on my mind and made me feel even more freaked out by how everything seems to be interlinked and bizarre!

* Note that there no way I could have accidentally seen the thumbnail to the most recent Grav3yardgirl video 'STRIPPED DOWN 'CHALLENGE'' for the simple reason that the video was uploaded on 28/07/2016 and I believe this is Bunny's local time (in Texas, USA), rather than the date I would have received the video (being in UK and therefore 6 hours ahead of Texas time). I have tried to seek clarification on this issue from other followers of Bunny, as my dyscalculia (numerical dyslexia) makes it very difficult to rely on my own calculations. In any event, I definitely did not see this video until now (as I write this post), and certainly not before I had the dream which involved 'Giant Wilfred'. The last video I watched from Grav3yardgirl before this dream was 'FULL FACE USING ONLY KIDS' MAKEUP Challenge'. Of course, if I had been in a position to notice the new video with the teddy bear in the thumbnail, I would have made a point of noting this potential source of day residue in my Dream Journal. So, it remains a weird and somewhat terrifying coincidence!

Time: 23:00 - 06:00 (I woke up from this dream by my housemate banging on the front door and ringing my phone)

This was a partial success regarding my Dream Incubation Experiment, because Eminem was in the dream, although I did not specifically see/meet him. Rather, the opportunity to meet him was used by the dream as a 'gift' for completing a requirement - investigating the Marina Joyce story. This was not a lucid dream.

Scene 1: My Current Temporary Accommodation, Norwich - Day

I was sitting at my desk (where I record Youtube videos) in my current temporary home in Norwich. I was aware that my cousin JC1 had completed his university degree (he is currently between his first and second years, so not close to completing in real life). and had got a grade which was higher than a first. My family was celebrating, because this meant he was able to get a very important job in international human rights - although I cannot recall the specific details of the job. My family were not present in my Norwich home at this point - they were in Sheringham, where I was supposed to join them later (I saw an image of a large multi-tiered white decorated birthday-style cake). I was currently at work. It appeared that my bedroom was actually my former law firm and I was working for one of the lawyers I used to work alongside - MJF. 

MJF stood behind me while I was at the desk. He said: 'Your dodgy-looking friend is waiting for you outside...' 'Outside' was actually the outside of my former workplace, which was located on the main 'clubbing' street in the city. I had a mental image - or at least saw - this street, which looked the same as in  real life, although there was a partial grey brick wall adjacent to the doorway of the law firm, which blocked my view of the 'friend' waiting for me (he was on the other side, whereas I saw the location from the view of the front entrance).

I took this to mean it was RBA - because when I used to work in this firm in real life and RBA used to come to visit me at my workplace, the lawyers would describe him in such a way, assuming he was a 'client' of the firm (i.e. a criminal suspect) based on the way he dressed (hip hop, with a shaved head). I think I mentioned RBA's name, or at least indicated that I thought it was him, but MJF said: 'No, it's the Eminem guy...' (RBA is also a white male rapper, so I assumed in the dream that there might be some confusion). I asked if MJF meant 'the famous one' and he said: 'Yes'. 

I was then very excited - I was not lucid, so I was not thinking that my dream incubation experiment was successful at this point, I was just super happy that Eminem was coming to visit me. MJF said: 'You can't meet him until you finish work' and handed me a brown case file, which had the name 'Marina Joyce' in black marker pen on the front. This was my work and MJF said: 'If you want to meet your friend, you need to investigate this case file'. I either said something to the effect of 'it's too much work' or in some way expressed that I did not think I would be able to complete the task. MJF showed me his mobile phone screen, on which there was a message written in green text which said: 'Bonuses are delayed'. I took this to mean 'bonuses' (me being rewarded with meeting Eminem) are delayed until the Marina Joyce case file has been completed - this was a 'requirement'. I am not sure if I argued with MJF or if I asked for help - because he said to me: 'You have to unpick it with your needle' and I knew what he meant. I decided I would investigate the case file so that I could be 'rewarded' with meeting Eminem.

I then found that I was laying down on my bed - I was still in a dream, which was not a false awakening, because I could also 'see' outside my bedroom, into the corridor (I have posted a video entitled 'House Tour Vlog' which is a video posted on my channel, showing you the interior of my current temporary accommodation, so you can see the layout and areas described in this dream). I could hear someone walking down the hallway, knocking on each door. There was a male voice. Normally, this would seem nightmarish to me, but I was calm and relaxed. I 'saw' that the knocking was from a large teddy bear - or a man in a bear costume. The bear was very fat - especially it's stomach, which had a yellow panel. The bear was called 'Giant Wilfred' and he was going from room to room, trying to offer 'favours' to anyone in the room. 'Giant Wilfred' did not look particularly scary (not like the images of bear costumes below - see Day Residue, below and images at the bottom of this post). He had a happy smiling face and I think he may have worn a hat. His fur was made of fuzzy brown material and he had a jolly demeanour, but I did not want to answer my door to him - not because I was in any way afraid of him, but because I did not want 'a favour' from him and I thought that having to talk to him would be hassle - I just wanted to go to sleep (I was laying in my bed and not lucid or aware I actually was asleep, so I assumed that I was trying to take a nap and was being prevented from doing so by Giant Wilfred. As it happens, I could actually hear real life knocking (see below) which was incorporated into the narrative of my dream.

I woke up at this point, hearing my actual knocking in my accommodation (in real life). I was disorientated, but strangely - considering my feelings about living in this accommodation (as expressed in my 'House Tour Vlog' video) not at all scared, even though my dream seemed to be carrying over into waking. I then heard my phone ring - and saw that it was 06:00 hours and the call was from one of my housemates/best friends - LD2. When I answered the phone, I realised LD2 was very drunk and needed me to let him into the flat, which I did. I then stayed with LD2 until I could get him into his bedroom (2.5 hours) and then wrote up my first post about this dream - 'Weird, Significant & 'Deep' Marina Joyce Dream'. 

I then received a message from RBA and responded, summarising these weird dream events in a voice message.

• On the day of this dream, I sent RBA a photo of me sitting on the concrete steps outside my accommodation. I then asked him if he had heard about the Marina Joyce story, which he had not
• On the day of this dream, I had been listening to the audio versions of Creepypastas. At the end of the video I had been listening to, there was a clickable thumbnail link to one of my favourite (and very popular/well-known) Creepypastas - '1999' which features a paedophile/murderer who broadcasts a public access TV channel, 'Caledon Local 21', which had a main show, 'Mr Bear's Cellar' which featured the creator of the channel dressed as 'Mr Bear'. The screen of my laptop, which was beside me while I was sleeping, still had the Youtube dashboard open, showing the thumbnail from '1999' - see below

Waking Reactions:
This dream has inspired me to actually investigate the Marina Joyce incident further, firstly because I am interested generally (and because I had been writing horror fiction about a female 'Beauty' Youtuber and the effect watching her odd videos has on my main character, who is able to decipher weird and terrifying messages which seem to communicate directly with her). Note that I am also writing another short horror fiction (forming a trilogy), where one of the main characters is a webcam girl named 'Montana Joy'. Secondly, I am always trying to find truth or debunk internet myths and conspiracy theories, and given the worldwide media attention surrounding the Marina Joyce situation, this seems like a perfect opportunity to apply my skills. On a more basic level, this dream seems to suggest that my subconscious is setting me up with a task to complete before 'rewarding' me with a successful dream incubation (i.e. meeting Eminem), which seems very bizarre, but I have decided to listen to my dream and do as I have been asked, and - in the spirit of experimentation - want to monitor the effect of my waking progress on my dreaming.
